The object of the game is quite simple, connect with a coloured line with two tiles of the same colour on opposite sides of the board. The winner is the first player to remove all 4 matching pairs of home tiles.

Starting:

Sort the tiles into 24 Home tiles (Solid colours) and two stacks of 30 connector tiles (3 Coloured lines on the face side) all facing up, one stack of connecting tiles for each player.

Both players take 8 random solid colour home tiles and place them on the home positions on the playmat ensuring that each tile has a matching tile on the opposite side of the board, they can be in any of the 4 positions. The remaining 8 home tiles can now be discarded.

Players then take it in turn to place a connector tile on the play area of the mat, trying to make connections or blocking your opponent’s connections.

If a player manages to make a connection remove both home tiles and all the connector tiles that made the connection and continue placing tiles.

Once all 16 play positions have been filled, play proper can begin.

Playing:

To start each turn the die is thrown to determine the type of move. There are three types of moves...

Turn:

Turn a tile one face (60°) either clockwise or

anti-clockwise

Swap:

Swap a tile on the mat with the top tile from the player’s stack, The old tile should be placed at the bottom of the stack.

Flip:

Flip a tile over to display its feature.

The Harlequin:

All colours pass through to all edges.

The Blocker:

No colours pass though until the tile is swapped or flipped back

The Star:

The colour passes through to all edges.

The Fern:

The colour passes through one line from the root.

The Swap:

Swap the tile with a tile from EITHER of the player’s stack.

Play continues in turns until a player makes a connection from one home tile to its matching coloured tile on the opposite side. When a connection is made then the home tiles and all the tiles that made up that connection are removed from the play area.

Connection tiles are then placed in the empty positions on the playmat in turn starting with the player who made the connection. If another connection is made during this time then the home tiles and connecting tiles are removed and the tile replacement continues. Once all the tiles are replaced play continues. The player who did not replace the last tile throwing the dice.

If a connection is made between 3 tiles at the same time (It can happen) then the player must choose which home tile to remove on each side of the mat. If a connection is made

Variations:

One of the swap icons on the die is red; this allows for variations in-game to make play faster..-

Level 1:

A player can swap a tile with the top tile of EITHER of the players’ stacks

Level 2:

A player can swap the position of two tiles in play.
